OVERVIEW

Rugged robot is an excellent educational set for outdoor use to introduce preschool children to the basic rules of graphic programming, with the development of logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The rugged robot moves easily on uneven surfaces in steps of 20 cm and remembers up to 256 steps. Thanks to the sensors, it detects obstacles in time and adjusts movement, by reversing or changing direction by 45 degrees.

With different fun themed polygons indoors (Mars, construction site…), or on uneven surfaces in the open, each use of the Rugged robot gets a different context and opens up a number of new possibilities for fun learning through problem solving.

CHARGING

Supplied with a USB lead, robot can either be recharged via your computer or a wall socket with a USB mains adapter (not supplied).

APPLICATION

The free downloadable Rugged robot app enables you to:

• Connect to your Rugged Robot via Bluetooth
• See the programmed sequence in order to correct any errors (debugging)
• Record audio to support pupils with hearing back the steps
• Use a ‘repeat’ function for commands (decomposition)
• Extend children’s learning by ‘hiding’ commands e.g.
• Can you get to X without using the forward command?
• Rename your Rugged Robot
• Connect each Rugged Robot to a different tabletto avoid any classroom confusion!
