This is the smallest and cheapest Raspberry Pi today. The board is only half in size compared with the Raspberry Pi Model A +, but offers almost the same features! Everything is small at the Raspberry Pi Zero. The board is 65mm x 30mm x 5mm wide, contains a mini camera connector, a microSD slot, mini HDMI, 2x microUSB (USB and one for power) and idle power consumption is only 100mA and 140mA at full load.
Like the A + and B + the P Zero has a single core CPU at 1GHz and 512MB RAM. The GPIO header is not soldered so you depend on your project can determine whether a header must be soldered on, and what kind. This gives you much freedom you how to use the P Zero.
The small size brings some limitations with it. To deal with the Raspberry Pi Zero to work, you need a mini HDMI to HDMI adapter and a microUSB OTG cable. We have a collection available to help you quickly on your way!
